During the off peak period (from 6pm onwards) admission prices are decreased. One of the possible reason is, products are perishable and cannot be stored. (Temasek Polytechnic, 2015) Hence, by decreasing the admission prices, attractions can still manage to generate some form of revenue rather than none at all. Hence, discounting the rides after the peak period is an efficient way for the Singapore Cable Car to sell its products without losing the opportunity for sales.
By adopting different pricing structures, along with promotions, it will attract those of different target markets to their attraction. Having different pricing structures enables the attraction to cater to both price sensitive and price insensitive customers.
